Find Your "Why" And Keep Moving Forward

My 3 children are the reason that I chose to become an Online Entrepreneur.  I currently have twins, a boy and a girl, that are 3 years old and my oldest daughter is 8 years old. Every passing day I thank God for giving me the opportunity to have the courage to quit a very successful job and chose to become an online entrepreneur.

At first, like many individuals I did not think that it would be possible to leave Corporate America and earn income from home.  Let's not forget that I was actually going to learn a completely new career.

Throughout my career, I held many powerful and important positions and started from becoming a Paralegal then moved into the financial world where I became a Stockbroker and a Financial Advisor.  I spent time learning finance and educating myself through reading books, getting licenses of all kinds, attending seminars and as a result, when the time came to actually leave my job, I became paranoid.

I kept thinking that I could not throw away years of learning and just walk away, but I did, and its only because my "why" was big enough.  My "why" is my children.  I left my job, so I can enjoy my time with them, so I can hear the new words they learn or the new tasks that they just learned to master.  Soon, I realized that if your "why" is big enough then just like me, you will decide to move forward to success.

Afterwards, I learned that I did not throw away all my hard work or my knowledge.  I am the same person whom I was four years ago but a much happier mom.  I have the same knowledge that I had, plus I mastered a new career.  So, in other words, I actually gained a lot more than I could hope for.

The reason that I started to write this article today was very interesting.  I was finishing tutoring my eight year old and looking forward to watching the "American Idol."  Little did I know that my kids found out that "Meet The Robinsons" movie will be airing at 8:00 o'clock.  Coincidently, that was the same time that "American Idol" was going to start.

Since I had my play time with them earlier I announced that I will be watching the "American Idol", and they did not argue with me.  They simply asked me if they could change the channel and watch "Meet the Robinsons" during the commercials of the "American Idol."  I agreed pleasantly.  After only 5 minutes of watching my show the time came for a commercial, and my kids changed the channel to the Disney channel, so they could watch their movie.

My twins sat on my lap under a blanket and my eight year old sat next to me and all of us on one love-seat!  At that minute, there was nothing better than I could ask for.  I looked up to God and thanked him silently for giving me the opportunity to enjoy my kids and spend most of my time with them.  After only 3 minutes of watching "Meet the Robinsons" I declared that we will be watching "Meet the Robinsons" instead of the "American Idol."  They could not be happier, neither could I after seeing their beautiful faces filling with joy.

I don't know if any of you ever watched "Meet The Robinsons" but it is the best educational movie anybody can watch.   To tell the story in short, a little boy is an innovator and visits his future family because he fails on a science project.  He loses all hope after failing again on his project but his future family gives him this advice "Keep Moving Forward."  They explain to him that if they failed thousand times and did not give it one more try, then they could never succeed in life.   The best thing is to forget the past and keep moving forward.  In other words, if you think that you failed at something because you gave it a try before and there is no chance of you to succeed, then think again, because one day you'll be able to succeed at the same thing that you gave it a try several times and failed miserably.   Henry Ford would have not succeeded if he had stopped trying.  He moved forward and conquered.

Later in the movie, the little boy gives one more shot to his project and this time the project runs smoothly, and he saves the world and his future family   Had he not given it another shot, he would not be able to see his future family and his many innovations that start after the victory of his first project.

Those of you that are afraid of taking that step of a major move or are tired of trying to succeed, don't stop now!  Just keep moving forward!  On the last screen of the movie, there was this quote that was from Walt Disney and this is what it said.

"Around here, however, we don't look back for very long.  We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths. "

After tonight, this quote became my favorite quote of all time because had I not open the doors to home based business, I would not know the joy of spending as much time as possible with the three little gems in my home.  May you find your "why" and the way to success.

Take Actions, Follow Your Dream and Become Your own Boss

Have you ever wondered how you can change your current financial situation? I am sure you have, and you haven't done much about it because it required you to get out of your comfort zone and make some changes. Whatever your current situation is, whether you have a job and wish that you could change it or are looking for a way out of it so you can finally work for yourself, then you have to take some actions and act on your dreams.

Here are some of the things that you need to do to change your life for good and follow your dreams:

First, you have to set your goals and decide what you want out of your life.  You have to determine what is important to you.

Do you want to have more time to enjoy your hobbies?

Do you want to travel more?

Or do you want to have more time so you can spend with your loved ones?

Whatever your reason is, you have to write it down and call it your "Vision Statement." In your "Vision Statement" write down where you want to be in five years,  what are some of the things that you want to accomplish in five years? Is it money? Then, state exactly how much?  Next, you have to ask yourself what it is that you are willing to give up to reach your goal.  Is it time? Your favorite TV show?  Time away from your friends?

Once you write your vision statement, you have to read it twice a day, every day,  once in the morning and once in the evening.  Soon your vision statement will become a newly created hobby.    Remember that it takes 21 days to create a habit, whether it's bad or good.

The next thing you want to do is to turn off your TV.  Don't lie to yourself, you know that you spend most of your evening watching a TV.  Instead, read a book, educate yourself, listen to motivational and inspirational CDs and meditate on your vision.

Finally, you already know what you want out of your life.  Look for a company which offers a service or a product that you love.  Explore and research the company before you join.  Read and watch people's testimonials about the company and look out for scams.  Many companies offer free Webinars that you can watch on your computer and listen to how their top earners make their living.  They provide tremendous information for one to learn.

When you are ready to join, it's time for you to look for your "leader."  Who is it that you want to join? Who do you think will give you the proper feedback? Will he/she respond to your messages on time and provide valuable training?  Will he/she take his time to listen to your problems and offer solutions?

Now, that you are ready to start, commit a certain period of time each day to your new business and get to work like there is no tomorrow.  Do not be discouraged if the results don't come instantly.  It takes time to build any type of business and if your business is on the Internet, then it takes time until you build your online presence.

Always remember that first you plant the seed, water it constantly, provide soil with a lot of nutrients, monitor it, give your love, admire it until it picks its little head out of the ground.

One day you'll remember that little seed which now became a big tree with a ton of fruit on it and its that time that you would be the proudest of all looking at your hard work and admire every fruit and the many leaves on your tree.  Your business is no different from that little seed.  Provide the hard work and you'll be able to pick the fruits later on.

It sounds easier said than done but everything takes some type of effort, getting out of bed and eating breakfast take effort.  It does not mean that we stay in bed forever.  Sitting around and dreaming is not going to give you results.   It is time you take some actions and follow your dream.

Check Your E-mails Wisely|Increase Your Productivity

Recently, I noticed that there are a lot of people who have a habit of checking their e-mails every 10 minutes and lose a lot of time in between their daily tasks.

If you are one of the many who love to check their e-mails constantly, then I will tell you that you waste a lot of quality time.  How so?  Let me present it to you in a simple way that will shock you after you implement my recommended strategies.

Let's say that you are in the middle of writing an article, watching a Webinar, listening to a training or simply doing your chores.  Suddenly, you have this urge to check your e-mails and stop whatever you were doing at that very minute and click on your e-mail tab to see if you received a new e-mail.  If you are like me and use more than one e-mail Website, then you find yourself first checking Yahoo, then Google, then Hot Mail and the list goes on...

The problem with checking your e-mails every 10 minutes is that you lose a tremendous amount of time. Time is not the only thing that you lose in this case, but  also your concentration, because when you try to go back and continue what you were doing before you  realize that you cannot watch that Webinar, listen to the training that you paused before you checked your e-mail, or do your chores because your mind is elsewhere.  You've already lost the train of your thoughts, and you wonder what that Webinar was about before you decided to check your e-mails. 

By the time you get your thoughts together and concentrate on your tasks at hand, you've already lost one hour.

Now, the time has come for your appointment that you set earlier with a prospect, or you need to pick up your kids from school, or a brand new Webinar is starting in five minutes that is going to grow your business significantly.

You see how checking one e-mail can change your entire day's schedule and throw you off of what you had planned to do early that morning? Every little distraction like this will take you even further away from reaching your goals.  Let's see what you can do to manage your day better and reach your goals faster.

Every morning you should set a special time for about 15 minutes to check your e-mails and answer them.  You have to get into the habit of "cleaning" your "in-box" every single day in the following way:

First, you check your messages and answer to the ones that need your immediate attention.

Second, create files for your e-mails in your in-box and file the e-mails that don't need your immediate attention.

Third, schedule meetings on your Calendar for your e-mails that contain training or Webinar information.

Forth, delete all your e-mails that you already scheduled meetings for, or you no longer need to check.

The recommended strategy above should leave no e-mail in your in-box.  Once you are done with your e-mails, you go on to your next task and concentrate on that.  You can set up another time during the day to check your e-mails again in 4-6 hours, but each time you check them, you have to repeat the same process:  answer, file, schedule, or delete and go on with your other tasks.

In the end of the day, you'll be amazed at how much time you saved and how many things you could concentrate on.  This is a great work habit to adapt because your productivity will go up, which will lead to a prosperous business.

Start Up Tips For Social Media Marketing

Every new marketer is extremely excited when he/she first starts on the Internet.  There are some necessary steps that you should take before jumping from one social marketing site to the other one and creating profiles.  Here are some of the steps needed to consider before you start registering for every social network you see out there.

First, you should secure your name or identity across various social marketing sites.  There are two good sources that you can check for the availability of your name.  One is www.namechk.com and the other is www.knowem.com.  When you create a profile, you should make sure that you keep all of your information consistent through all different sites that you register with.  To make things much easier, you should have only one password for all of your registered sites.  If you chose several passwords, trust me that many times you will end up with looking through your notebook to find the "right" password for the "right" website.  Since we love to automate our business and be productive as much as we can, we try to make our work as simple as possible.

Second, choose a professional looking picture that you like and post that same picture on all of your sites.   You can get tips on how to take professional pictures from the following video.  The reason behind choosing only one picture is that you want a repetition so when someone checks out your name and finds you on various websites, then they can easily remember your face and feel comfortable with you.

Once, you are ready to register with different social media sites, you should consider a few sites instead of many so you can have control over your sites and be consistent on the ones you choose.  Remember that if you create your profile on different sites and visit them once a month, you will not benefit from them because consistency is the key to success.

If you like blogging, then you should consider writing one blog each day and post it on sites like Wordpress.com and Blogger.com.  Make sure that when you blog, you have a variety.  Meaning, have some pictures and videos within your blog's body.  After you write your blog, distribute it to sites like Digg and Reddit to help your URL to be distributed to more sites.

You should also write articles and do article marketing.  You can post your articles on popular sites like ezinearticles.com, goarticles.com and articlesbase.com  Although, article marketing takes time, but you will get the benefits in the long run.

Video marketing is another method of getting your word and your face out there.  If you are comfortable about being on camera, then you should decide on video marketing versus article marketing because videos sometimes rank better on search engines than articles do.

Choose the method of marketing that you feel the most comfortable with and get to work.  If you decide on blog or article marketing, then you should write one article a day and publish it in the websites mentioned above.  If you like video marketing, then create one video each day and upload it in Youtube.com and make sure that whatever marketing method you choose, you always post your blog, article or video on Facebook, Twitter, Squidoo and any other social media site that you decide to subscribe to.  Good luck and have success.
